20-40 min

Poppamies wing sauces are wonderfully tasty sauces with a revolutionary thick texture! The sauces are very easy to use – just coat the cooked chicken wings with the sauce and enjoy!

Ingredients

How to use Poppamies wing sauces?

1. Cook the wings

You can use either pre-cooked or raw wings. See detailed instructions below.

2. Season the wings with sauces

Mix your chosen Poppamies wing sauce with the cooked wings. You can also place the wings in a lidded container with the sauce and shake, which helps the sauce coat the wings evenly. The wing sauce can also be used as a dip! Poppamies wing sauces stick excellently to wings, stay on the surface for a long time, and can withstand heating.

3. Eat the wings!

Deliciously greasy and crispy chicken wings are a fantastic treat enjoyed as finger food. Wings are also great served with various dipping sauces – try, for example, Poppamies Blue Cheese Style dip mix with sour cream! Many also serve cucumber, carrot, and celery sticks for dipping.

Cooking the wings

Poppamies usually cooks wings at home using an air fryer or an oven.

You can find chicken wings in stores either raw or pre-cooked. Cooked wings are sold both frozen and in the chilled section. Cooked wings from the chilled section usually cook a bit faster than frozen ones.

If you’re using raw, unseasoned wings, it’s best to season them before cooking with salt or Poppamies RUB seasonings. Poppamies wing sauces also work well on pre-marinated wings.

Wings in the oven

Preheat the oven to 225°C. Spread the wings evenly on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Heat frozen cooked wings at 225°C on the fan setting for about 20 minutes and raw wings for about 35 minutes. Turn over the wings halfway through cooking. The wings are done when they are golden brown on the outside.

Wings in the air fryer

Place the wings in the air fryer basket. Depending on your air fryer size, it fits approx. 10–20 wings. Cook frozen wings at 180°C for about 14 minutes, non-frozen cooked wings for 10 minutes, and raw wings for about 25 minutes. You can turn the wings halfway through cooking.

On the grill or smoker

If you want to prepare wings on the grill, in a smoker, or deep fryer, check out this Poppamies article that explains how to make wings with these methods. The article also covers seasoning wings with Poppamies BBQ sauces and Poppamies RUB seasonings.
