Sloppy Joe is a classic with just the right balance of sweetness, acidity, and fat. In this version, the beef gets plenty of flavor from the Burgers & Ribs RUB seasoning mix and a sweet smoky depth from Poppamies Cherry & Cola BBQ sauce. A perfect match with juicy brioche and melting cheddar. Generously filled and honestly a bit messy – just like a Sloppy Joe should be.

  1. Heat the oil in a pan and add the onions. Sauté for about a minute.
  2. Add the ground beef and Poppamies Burgers & Ribs RUB. Fry for about 7–8 minutes, until the meat is nicely browned and gets a bit of sear.
  3. Pour in the Poppamies Cherry & Cola BBQ sauce and mix. Let it bubble for another minute so the sauce sticks to the meat and the flavor intensifies.
  4. If you want, you can melt the cheddar directly on top of the meat or add it to the bun while assembling.
  5. Assemble the Sloppy Joe in a brioche bun. Serve immediately – better grab a napkin.
