Pulled pork tacos

Pulled pork fits many types of dishes – including tex-mex! Here’s a simple recipe for making pulled pork tacos. You can also use ready-made pulled pork in the tacos if you don’t have time to wait for it to cook.

  1. Rub the pork shoulder with oil and coat it with almost the whole bag of Poppamies Texmex Spice Mix Tacos – save one teaspoon for the avocado paste.
  2. Cover the shoulder with foil and cook in a 120°C oven for about 6–8 hours, until the meat is easy to shred. Shred the meat into pieces with two forks.
  3. Mix the pulled pork in a bowl with Poppamies Texmex Taco Sauce Original, Lemon Jalapeno, or Habanero.
  4. Mash the avocados into a paste with a fork and season with a teaspoon of Poppamies Texmex Spice Mix Tacos. Squeeze in the juice of half a lime and mix.
  5. Warm the tortillas or hard taco shells in the oven. Spread the avocado paste on the base and layer pulled pork on top. Add Poppamies Texmex Salsa Chunky Dip Medium or Hot on top. Garnish with jalapeño slices and chopped coriander if desired.
