BBQ Chicken Pizza

  • 1 pizza dough base (homemade or store-bought, ~250 g)
  • 120 ml tomato sauce (smooth passata or pizza sauce)
  • 80 g cooked pulled chicken
  • 2 tbsp Poppamies Classic Barbeque sauce
  • 60 g ham, sliced or shredded
  • 50 g pickled red onions, drained
  • 120 g mozzarella cheese, shredded (or fresh torn mozzarella)
  • Olive oil, for brushing
  • Fresh basil or parsley, to serve (optional)
  1. Prep the oven: Preheat oven to 220°C (or as hot as it goes if using a pizza stone/steel).
  2. Prepare the base: Roll out pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to about 25–28 cm. Place on a pizza tray or preheated stone. Brush edges lightly with olive oil.
  3. Sauce it up: Spread tomato sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  4. Build the toppings: Mix pulled chicken with Poppamies Classic Barbeque Sauce until coated. Scatter mozzarella over the tomato sauce. Add BBQ pulled chicken, ham pieces, and pickled red onions evenly.
  5. Bake: Transfer to oven and bake 10–12 minutes until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbling.
  6. Finish & serve: Remove from oven, rest for 2 minutes. Sprinkle with fresh basil or parsley if desired. Slice and serve hot.
